Following a period of consultation, Platts has refocused its Polish power assessments by concentrating on contract periods with higher liquidity. Effective December 2, 2013, Platts has discontinued the existing daily assessments of the less liquid Month-Ahead+1 and Month-Ahead+2 contracts.
The discontinued codes include: Month-Ahead+1 baseload (Zloty) - AADES00 Month-Ahead+1 peakload (Zloty) - AADEQ00 Month-Ahead+1 baseload (Euro) - AADGB00 Month-Ahead+1 peakload (Euro) - AADGE00
Month-Ahead+2 baseload (Zloty) - AADEX00 Month-Ahead+2 peakload (Zloty) - AADEZOO Month-Ahead+2 baseload (Euro) - AADGG00 Month-Ahead+2 peakload (Euro) - AADGI00
At the same time, Platts will now publish the remaining periods: day-ahead, week-ahead, front-month, front-quarter and year-ahead, as a single mid-point value in Zloty/MWh and Eur/MWh, rather than a high-low range, in European Power Daily. Assessments are published on page 91 of European Power Alert, in European Power Daily and in Platts market data.
