Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched daily spot propylene oxide assessments in Asia, the Americas, and Europe on Dec. 1.
The new assessments expanded the scope of Platts global coverage of the propylene value chain.
The assessments were first proposed in the subscriber notes below:

The new assessments are published daily on business days, in line with each regional publication calendar, and based on the latest information sourced from the market up to the close of the assessment process.
All market information reported through the week to Platts may be considered and will be published in real-time, including firm bids and offers, trades, and indicative values, as well as any other data deemed relevant to the assessment process. Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.

For the US Gulf Coast assessment, the M1 would refer to the period starting three days forward from the date of assessment. For example, on Nov. 22, the M1 assessment would refer to Nov. 25-30. The assessments would roll over into the next calendar month three calendar days before the first day of the next month. For example, on Nov. 27, the assessment would reflect loading in November. On Nov. 28, the assessment would start reflecting loading within December.
