Platts clarifies petchems 2020 year-end publishing schedule

S&P Global Platts clarifies that it will publish the last Asia Petrochemicalscan, Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan and Olefinscan publications for 2020 on Dec. 18. The last Solventswire for 2020 is to be published Dec. 22 and the last Polymerscan to be published Dec. 23.

Europe and Americas weeklies:

Final weekly intermediates assessments, commentaries and rationales will be on Dec. 17.

Final weekly olefins, aromatics and freights assessments, commentaries and rationales will be on Dec. 18.

Final weekly solvents assessments, commentaries and rationales will be on Dec. 22.

Final weekly polymer assessments, commentaries and rationales will be on Dec. 23.

No weekly assessments, commentaries and rationales will be published from Dec. 24, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021.

Asian weeklies:

Weekly assessments and rationales will be published as usual over the year-end period via Platts Petrochemical Alert Service.

Friday weekly assessments will be brought forward to Thursday Dec. 24. No commentaries will be published, only assessment rationales.

Friday weekly assessments will be brought forward to Thursday Dec. 31. No commentaries will be published, only assessment rationales.

No weekly commentaries will be published from Dec. 24, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021.

Global daily assessments:

Daily assessments and rationales will continue to be published as usual over the year-end period via Platts Petrochemical Alert Service, with the exception of the following dates:

Thursday Dec. 24:

Asia assessments and Market on Close (MOC) process will be basis 12:30 pm Singapore time.

Europe assessments and MOC process will be basis 12:30 pm London time.

Americas assessments and MOC process will be move forward by an hour to a 12:30 pm CT close for most markets; and to a 3 pm CT close for US and Latin America benzene, US styrene and ethylene. Americas MTBE close will remain unchanged at 1:30 pm CT.

Friday Dec. 25 (Christmas Day):

No Platts services or publications worldwide.

Thursday, Dec. 31 (New Year's Eve):

Asia assessments and MOC process will be basis 12:30 pm Singapore time.

Europe assessments and MOC process will be basis 12:30 pm London time.

Americas assessments and MOC process will be move forward by an hour to a 12:30 pm CT close for most markets; and to a 3 pm CT close for US and Latin America benzene, US styrene and ethylene. Americas MTBE close will remain unchanged at 1:30 pm CT.

The first Asian Petrochemicalscan, Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan and Olefinscan for the year to be published.

No daily commentaries will be published globally from Dec. 24, 2020 to Jan. 3, 2021.

Asia daily assessments, weekly averages of Americas daily assessments and weekly averages of Europe daily assessments published during the 2020 year-end period will be published in the first publications of 2021.
