SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts updates formulas for Kuwait crude OSPs to US

S&P Global Platts has updated its outright formulas for the Kuwait crude official selling price to the US, with effect from December 1, 2017.

This reflects updated calculations from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation. Kuwait now prices its crude exports to the US against the Argus Sour Crude Index. Outright crude OSPs for both FOB Ras Tanura and delivered US bases will now be calculated using the monthly average price of Platts US Gulf Coast Mars crude as a proxy for ASCI.

The calculated outright OSPs are published on PGA page 1060 under the product codes ABIOF00 and ABIOG00.
