SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts reflecting Troll in FOB and CIF Dated Brent assessments

S&P Global Platts has added Norway's Troll to the basket of crudes reflected in its assessments of Dated Brent FOB North Sea and Dated Brent CIF basis Rotterdam, starting from December 1, 2017.

Platts Dated Brent assessments will include the value of dated Troll cargoes with effect from December 1, 2017, the first day when the Dated loading programs will begin to include January 2018 cargoes.

A decision note to include cargoes of Norway's Troll crude loading from January 1, 2018 in both the FOB and CIF basis Rotterdam Dated Brent basket on February 20, 2017 and is available here: https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/26666415.

Platts has also launched the publication of Troll CIF basis Rotterdam outright and differential price assessments. These assessments will appear on Platts Global Alert page 1212, in Crude Oil Marketwire and Oilgram Price Report, and in the Platts pricing database under the following codes:

These assessments reflect value for Troll delivered 12 days to one month ahead. In the absence of any bids, offers or trades, Platts will assess Troll CIF basis Rotterdam on the basis of freight and other market indicators.

The Troll CIF basis Rotterdam assessments will be published in addition to Platts' existing Brent, Forties, Oseberg and Ekofisk CIF basis Rotterdam outright and differential price asssessments. Platts began reflecting Troll crude in its Cash BFOE assessments on September 1 when it began publishing a January 2018 Cash BFOE contract assessment that reflects potential delivery of Troll, along with other existing BFOE grades.
