S&P Global Platts has amended the description on the Handysize dry bulk scrap route from Rotterdam to Turkey from a 25,000 mt Handysize stem to a 30,000 mt Supramax stem, in line with market feedback. This change is effective from December 1, 2017.
Platts will normalize any other cargo size on these routes to a 30,000 mt basis.
Platts proposed this change in a note published August 15, 2017 (https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/26787717).
This change is a reflection of a more frequent flow of 30,000 mt than 25,000 mt steel scrap cargoes loaded out of Rotterdam, to Aliaga.
The assessment appears in Dry Freight Wire and the fixed page under MSRAT00.
