SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts to publish new US coal netback price

Following industry consultation, S&P Global Platts will publish the total value of the sulfur penalty for thermal coal exported from the US Gulf Coast in its daily Physical Thermal Coal Netbacks table.

The total value is already calculated on a daily basis based on the value of per 0.1% sulfur (COPAP00) and is factored into the existing FOB US Gulf Coast netback (COUGU00). The total value will be shown in $/mt and will publish daily in Coal Trader and Coal Trader International, and Global Coal Alert Page 230 and Market Data category CO.

The new price will begin publishing January 30, 2017.
