SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue US ethylene posted contract assessment December 1

Effective December 1, 2015, Platts will discontinue publication of the weekly US ethylene posted contract assessment.

Market feedback indicates domestic business has moved away from referencing and/or using the posted price in contract settlements. Platts will continue weekly publication of its US ethylene net contract assessment.

The affected assessments are:

Ethylene USG Posted CP cts/lb -- PHAJI00 Ethylene USG Posted CP cts/lb MAvg -- PHBDC03

The last date of publication for the posted assessment was November 25, 2015. The discontinuation was proposed May 15, 2015, and the decision was published October 9, 2015.

The assessment was previously published in the Platts Petrochemical Alert on pages PC006, PC236, PC301 and PC438 as well as Olefinscan and Polymerscan.
