Platts proposes discontinuation of Magdalena crude assessment

S&P Global Platts proposes to discontinue publishing assessments for Colombia's Magdalena crude, effective July 1, 2021, due to a lack of spot market trading activity.

Platts understands that there is no spot-market trade of Magdalena with all production sold through contracts and consumed domestically in Colombia.

Magdalena has not been exported since 2017, according to sources.

The proposed discontinuation will affect the following codes:

Outright Diff to Date Brent Strip Diff to Brent Strip Diff to WTI Strip

Magdalena AAWFR00 AAXBL00 AAXCA00 AAWFS00
