Platts proposes to launch R-HDPE assessment

S&P Global Platts is proposing to launch a Recycled-HDPE light pellets assessment in Northwest Europe in light of market demand and effective January 8, 2020.

The weekly assessment would take into consideration price information gathered up to the close of the assessment process at 4:30 pm Wednesday London time.

The new assessment will have the following specification:

Symbol: ARHDP04 (Weekly), ARHDP03 (Monthly average)

Grade: Extrusion/blow molding, non-food-grade for consumer packaging applications

Color: Light pellet, including light grey or beige. Platts assessments will not reflect natural, opaque, white, black and pre-colored pellets

Basis: Free delivered Northwest Europe

Standard spot cargo size: Minimum 20mt lots

The new assessment can be found on Platts Petrochemical Alert on pages PC0239, in Platts price database, on Platts Market Center and in Polymerscan under the symbol listed above.

Platts invites all stakeholders and interested parties to engage in the feedback process. The feedback period will conclude on December 23, 2019.
