Platts retains existing NWE PX spot volume standard

Platts sought feedback in June 2011 to review requests from some participants in the industry for Platts to change the volume standard for European paraxylene basis FOB Rotterdam from the current 1,000 mt to 3,000-5,000 mt.

Following feedback provided by industry participants and internal reviews, Platts has decided to retain the existing standard. Platts will continue to reflect in the European PX Market on Close assessment process, transactions of 1,000 mt for loading FOB Rotterdam.
