Platts proposes to launch a new assessment for Asia LPG market to reflect the value of 22,000 mt cargoes that are evenly split between propane and butane. The new price assessment would reflect the value of refrigerated cargoes for delivery to main ports between Singapore and Japan. It would reflect a 22,000 mt cargo, carrying 11,000 mt of propane and 11,000 mt of butane. The single price assessment would be published alongside Platts' existing cargo assessments, which are published for propane and butane as stand-alone values. Platts is inviting comments on this proposal. Please send all comments and questions by December 11, 2009 to asia_lpg@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
