Platts to hold Asia LNG methodology workshop in India Dec 18

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will hold an LNG methodology workshop in India with a focus on JKM and WIM assessments on Dec. 18, 2023.

India has embraced LNG benchmarks to price large parts of its upstream gas market and increasingly in its LNG import and regasified LNG markets. The country's ambition to increase the share of natural gas to 15% of its energy mix means it will likely have to sustain its position as a major player in the spot international LNG cargo market. As a result, an understanding of how JKM and WIM are assessed, and their future developments, is vital.

• Review of JKM and WIM methodology
• Live demonstration of APAC LNG MOC process
