SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Corrected Platts Natural Gas Assessment Rationale

Due to an internal error, the incorrect Platts Natural Gas Assessment Rationale ran in the November 21, 2018 editions of Gas Daily and Platts Energy Trader. The rationale should read: These locations were assessed by Platts and deviated from the standard volume weighted average methodology in the following ways: 1. Trunkline, WLA: Price of $4.53/MMBtu was assessed at a 3-cents premium to Trunkline, ELA based on recent daily gas trading and verified by ICE bid/offer activity. 2. Texas Gas, Zone SL: Price of $4.53/MMBtu was assessed at a 1-cent premium to Texas Gas Zone 1 based on recent daily gas trading and verified by ICE bid/offer activity. 3. Houston Ship Channel: Price of $4.60/MMBtu was assessed at an 8.5-cents premium to Katy based on recent daily gas trading and ICE bid/offer activity.

All other Platts daily indices are based upon trade data reported to Platts by market participants and trade data submitted by Intercontinental Exchange. The indices are calculated using detailed transaction level data from these providers. Platts editors screen the data for outliers that may be further examined and potentially removed. A volume weighted average is then calculated from the remaining set of data.
