Effective January 2, 2014, Platts proposes to close all European and UK electricity day-ahead assessments including day-ahead plus assessments (day-ahead +1, +2, +3, +4) at 11:00 am London time. The change of timestamp, from midday London time currently, is proposed to better align with existing trading practice and upcoming market coupling arrangements. Platts would continue to publish day-ahead assessments after 4:30 pm London time in European Power Alert, in Platts market data and in European Power Daily along with all other power periods and product assessments. Platts weekend and week-ahead assessments, reflecting weekend power prices and whole week periods, will continue to be assessed at close of business 4:30 pm London time on each weekday including Fridays. Please send feedback and questions to power@platts.com with copy to pricegroup@platts.com.
