Holiday notice for North American coal

Platts will not publish North American daily coal assessments Thursday, November 24, or Friday, November 25 because of the US Thanksgiving holiday (www.platts.com/HolidayHome). In addition, Coal Trader will not be published Thursday, November 24, or Friday, November 25. Platts Daily OTC Assessments based on trading Wednesday, November 23, will be published that day through Platts Electricity Alert and Platts Market Data, and will be published in the Monday, November 28, issue of Coal Trader. Per the Platts methodology, because of the November 24 and 25 holidays, the last day of trading for the December, 2011, prompt month for purposes of calculating final monthly averages will be Wednesday, November 23. Therefore, the final monthly prompt-month averages for Platts Daily OTC Assessments and the Platts Broker Index will be based on the daily assessments of the December 2011 prompt month from trade date Wednesday, October 26, through trade date Wednesday, November 23.
