Subscriber note: Metals changes due to November/December holidays

Due to the US Thanksgiving holiday on November 22, Platts will make the following changes to its normal metals price assessment schedules: US aluminum alloys, aluminum scrap and New York dealer tin will be assessed once for the week on Tuesday, November 20. Normal US Wednesday weekly assessments will be done Tuesday. US Thursday weekly prices will be assessed Wednesday, including the global weekly Metals Week Molybdenum Dealer Oxide price. The Platts global Molybdenum Daily Dealer Oxide assessment and the US Aluminum Transaction price will be assessed on November 22-23 with the prevailing US values, in accordance with their London schedules. Platts Metals Daily will not be published on November 22, but it will publish on November 23. Europe- and Asia-assessed metals prices for November 22 will be published in Platts Metals Daily on November 23. Due to the Christmas holiday of December 25 and Boxing Day December 26, there will be no daily assessments on December 25 worldwide, and there will be no global Molybdenum Daily Dealer Oxide assessment on December 26, since it follows a London schedule. Platts Metals Daily will not be published on December 24 or December 25, and any Platts-assessed prices for December 24 will publish in the December 26 issue. Weekly prices for US copper scrap and US lead-acid batteries will be assessed Thursday, December 27. US secondary aluminum alloys and aluminum scrap prices, as well as New York dealer tin, will be assessed once for the week on Thursday, December 27. The daily Platts Alumina Indices (PAX), basis FOB Australia, CFR China and ex-works China, and the FOB China manganese ore assessment will close early on December 24 and December 31 but will be assessed as normal on December 26.
