Platts to launch December 2015 emissions assessments

Due to the expiry of December 2012 EU Allowances and Certified Emission Reductions over-the-counter forward contracts on December 3, those contract assessments will be removed from European Power Daily as of the December 4 dated issue. Following a period of industry consultation, Platts will also launch a daily price assessment for December 2015 delivery EUAs EADSP15 and for December 2015 delivery CERs CERDE15 on December 3, 2012. The assessments will be based on the same market-on-close methodology that is applied for the existing suite of EUA and CER assessments. The assessments are published in Platts European Power Daily, on Platts European Power Alert and in Platts Market Data.
