SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to leave USAC Buckeye, Laurel assessment dates unchanged

As a result of extensive market feedback, S&P Global Platts has decided not to adjust its assessment date ranges for refined products on Buckeye Pipeline and Laurel Pipeline in New York Harbor.

The assessment dates will remain 3-7 days forward Monday through Wednesday, and 5-9 days forward Thursday and Friday.

In a subscriber note published September 6, 2019, Platts had proposed changing the Wednesday date range to 5-9 days forward with effect from November 15, 2019.

A majority of market feedback supported leaving the Wednesday assessment date range as 3-7 days forward.

In addition, Buckeye Pipeline has confirmed that its three-day nomination requirement meant that for shipments on a Saturday or Sunday, batches must be nominated by the prior Wednesday.

That meant the current 3-7 day assessment range on Wednesdays gives shippers enough time to nominate any day in the range.

The applicable product assessments include: Buckeye Pipeline Distillates Jet Kero AAJNL00 Jet vs NYMEX ADIEA00 Jet Kero LS AAJNN00 ULSD AATHF00 ULSD vs NYMEX ADIYA00
