Following a period of industry consultation and feedback, S&P Global Platts confirms it will change the cargo size and description of its Thailand to Indonesia weekly sugar freight assessment, effective December 1, 2017.
Platts first proposed this new launch in a subscriber note published October 13 (https://www.platts.com/subscriber-notes-details/27879050).
Under this proposal, the Thailand (Laem Chabang) to Indonesia (Ciwandan) assessment, published under the code SYCCA00 in Dry Freight Wire will be amended to reflect 25,000 mt cargoes instead of the current 40,000 mt stems. Its description will be amended from Handymax to Handysize.
