Platts is to amend its existing daily spot physical assessment for Black Sea wheat and corn, with quality specifications normalized to standard requirements.
The daily assessments launch on November 13, 2015, and reflect the daily traded or tradeable value of cargoes of FOB Black Sea wheat, FOB Azov Sea wheat, CIF Marmara wheat and FOB Black Sea corn at 1630 London time. As per Platts methodology, the assessments continue to be made using transactional information collected and published daily, including transactions, bids and offers.
FOB Black Sea wheat is to be defined as having a protein content of 12.5%, a cargo size of 60,000 mt, a minimum test weight of 77-78 kg/hl, a maximum moisture content of 14%, a minimum wet gluten content of 25%, a minimum W number of 180, a minimum falling number of 230 seconds, maximum bug damage of 1.5%, maximum foreign matter content of 2%.
FOB Azov wheat is to be defined as having a protein content of 12.5%, a cargo size of 3,000 mt, a minimum test weight of 77 kg/hl, a maximum moisture content of 14%, a minimum wet gluten content of 25%, a minimum W number of 180, a minimum falling number of 250 seconds, maximum bug damage of 1.8%, maximum foreign matter content of 2%.
CIF Marmara wheat is to be defined as having a protein content of 13.5%, a cargo size of 3,000 mt, a minimum test weight of 77-78 kg/hl, a maximum moisture content of 14%, a minimum wet gluten content of 27%, a minimum W number of 230, a minimum falling number of 270 seconds, maximum bug damage of 1.5-1.7%, maximum foreign matter content of 2%.
FOB Black Sea corn is to be defined as a cargo size of 60,000 mt, a maximum moisture content of 14.5%, maximum foreign matter content of 5%, and the maximum number of broken kernels at 2%.
