SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches import parity prices for refined products in Brazil

As part of its commitment to provide insight into new markets, S&P Global Platts started publishing a number of new import parity prices for ULSD, jet fuel, gasoline and LPG in Brazil, with effect from November 9, 2018.

Platts has added import parity prices at five Brazilian ports for ULSD, jet fuel and gasoline, all meeting the country's specifications. Platts has also added import parity prices at Suape and Santos for LPG, comprised of 70% propane and 30% butane.

The prices represent the cost of each product imported on the day of publication at each specified port in Brazil. They include the product value, freight, demurrage, insurance, losses, marine taxes, multi-port discharge optionality and quality differences, where applicable.

ULSD, jet and gasoline import parity prices are published in $/barrel and in Brazilian Real/cubic meter. LPG import parity prices are published in $/mt and Brazilian Real/kg

Platts will publish the assessments in Latin American Wire, on Platts Global Alert page 166 and under the following codes in the Platts pricing database:
