SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches domestic Colombia HDPE, LDPE, LLDPE assessments

S&P Global Platts has launched weekly Colombia domestic spot polyethylene price assessments from November 8, 2017. The new assessments are for high density polyethylene, linear low-density butene polyethylene and low-density polyethylene to reflect delivery in the greater Bogota area by truck for the specifications below, in US dollars/mt and converted to Colombian pesos.

Specifications for the polyethylene grades are: LDPE with a melt flow index of 1.8-2.5; LLDPE butene-1 grade with a melt flow rate of around 1.0; the HDPE grades are HDPE film, blowmolding and injection -- HDPE blowmolding and HDPE film grade with a melt flow rate 0.25 and higher, HDPE injection grade with a melt flow rate of 2.0-25.

Prices are for resin delivered three to 30 days from date of publication in Bogota and do not include taxes. Cargo sizes are 100-300/mt with a letter of credit of 60-90 days. Assessments reflect prices at 1:30 pm in the US Central time zone each Wednesday.

Assessments will appear in Polymerscan Latin American Edition and in the price database under the following codes: LLDPE: AABAA04 (weekly $/mt) and AABAB04 (weekly peso/mt); LDPE: AABAX04 (weekly $/mt) and AABAY04 (weekly peso/mt); HDPE Injection: AABAQ04 (weekly $/mt) and AABAR04 (weekly peso/mt); HDPE film: AABAK04 (weekly $/mt) and AABAL04 (weekly peso/mt); HDPE blowmolding: AABAG04 (weekly $/mt) and AABAH04 (weekly peso/mt).
