Subscriber note: Platts proposes to end UKC-Med 30kt clean assessment

Platts proposes to discontinue its assessments for the value of United Kingdom/Continent-Mediterranean 30kt clean tanker freight rates, with effect from May 1, 2013. These discontinuations reflect the fact oil flows have changed significantly in the market at large, and this route is no longer commonly chartered. These rates are currently published in the Platts Clean Tankerwire and on Platts Global Alert page 558. The following assessments, and associated data, would be discontinued from May 1, 2013:
