Platts proposes introducing USGC waterborne CBOB assessments

Platts is seeking feedback for the introduction of waterborne CBOB (conventional blendstock for oxygenate blending) and Premium CBOB assessments for the US Gulf Coast.

Platts will assess regular and premium CBOB, that when blended with 10% ethanol will have conventional gasoline ratings of 87 octane and 93 octane.

The proposed assessments will be aligned with Colonial Pipeline's current CBOB specifications.

The CBOB waterborne assessments will be assessed on a FOB US Gulf Coast basis and conform to Platts' current USGC gasoline and distillate waterborne methodology.

Platts is proposing to introduce these new assessments Dec 1, 2011.
