Following a period of consultation and review of industry feedback, Platts has decided to discontinue the following daily baseload assessments in the Belgian electricity market: weekend, week ahead, second and third month ahead, second quarter ahead and third year ahead. Consequently, Platts will also discontinue the second and third month ahead and second quarter ahead daily spark spread assessments for Belgium.
Platts will continue to assess Belgian day ahead, first month ahead and first quarter ahead, along with the associated day ahead, month ahead and quarter ahead spark spreads, and will also continue to assess the first and second year ahead.
All assessments are published on European Power Alert and in European Power Daily. The changes will take effect from January 31, 2012.
