SUBSCRIBER NOTE: S&P Global Platts opens consultation on CIF NWE gasoline cargo assessment

S&P Global Platts is opening a formal consultation regarding possible methodology changes to its premium gasoline 10 ppm cargoes CIF NWE assessment following developments in the market.

Platts welcomes feedback from market participants regarding prevalent merchantable specifications and typical cargo sizes delivered in this market to ensure it continues to reflect representative trade flows of gasoline into UK ports.

Specifically, Platts is consulting on the specification and cargo sizes reflected. Currently the assessment reflects 10,000 mt cargoes delivered CIF basis Thames with 95 RON, 60/90 kPa summer/winter and 0.9% oxygenates by weight.

Throughout this consultation, Platts also seeks feedback on the timing of this potential methodology change.
