SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts clarifies frequency, assessment day for IW Singapore premiums

Platts is clarifying that the in-warehouse Singapore premiums for copper (MMAMU00), nickel (MMANC00) and zinc (MMANE00), are assessed on a weekly basis, although they are displayed in the daily section of some Metals Daily price tables. Effective December 2, 2015, these will be assessed and published weekly on Wednesdays, or the closest business day in the event of holidays.

With this change, Platts will also publish the weekly in-warehouse Singapore fixed price, all-in equivalents for copper (MMCUS00), nickel (MMNSW00) and zinc (MMZSW00) on Wednesday, instead of Friday. These are automated prices based on the current LME prices for copper, nickel and zinc, plus the respective assessed premiums for these metals.

Platts is aiming to better align its weekly assessments with this change in schedule.
