SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to launch Russian market steel assessments

Following a period of industry feedback, Platts will increase its EMEA market coverage with a November 29 launch of three weekly price assessments for hot-rolled coil, hot-rolled sheet and rebar, carriage paid to Moscow. The new assessments will present the Rubles/mt value on the Friday of each week, excluding UK public holidays, when prices will be assessed on the nearest preceding business day. Specifications and grades will be as follows: HRC: St3sp/St3ps grade hot-rolled coil (equivalent to European S235), weighing 5-8 mt per coil with 2-4 mm thickness and 1,250 mm width. The delivery time taken in consideration will be 3-5 weeks with payment at sight. HR sheet: St3sp/St3ps grade hot-rolled sheet, minimum order size of 1,000 mt, with 2-4 mm thickness, width 1,250-1,500 mm, length 2,500-6,000 mm. The delivery time taken in consideration will be 3-5 weeks with payment at sight. Rebar: St3sp/St3ps steel and A500/A500C/A400 ductility grade rebar, 12-16 mm thickness and 11,000-12,000 mm length. The delivery time taken in consideration will be 3-5 weeks with payment at sight. The new CPT Moscow assessments will be published in the Platts Daily Briefing and accessible through the Price Analyzer, as well as Platts Metals Alert and Platts Market Data under the codes SR AAXJH00, SR AAXJI00 and SR AAXJG00.
