04 Nov 2016 | 02:15 UTC — London
Platts has updated the spark spread section of its European Electricity methodology and specifications guide to clarify the definition of day-ahead. Effective November 4, 2016, the gas and power inputs to the Belgian, Dutch, German and UK day-ahead spark spreads will reflect the next UK working day. This affects day-ahead spark and clean spark spread calculations published on Fridays and on the last working day of the week before a UK public holiday.
