Platts has launched five Suezmax, seven Aframax and one Panamax dirty tanker assessment from the Caribbean, US Gulf Coast and East Coast Mexico, effective November 2, 2015.
The new assessments reflect strong market interest in these routes and are based on modern Suezmax, Aframax and Panamax tonnage. The date ranges reflected in the assessments are seven to 25 days forward from the date of publication.
Four assessments are published on a lump-sum basis and nine assessments are published on a Worldscale basis to reflect how these routes are traded. Platts also publishes a dollar per metric ton value for these routes. The following assessments are published:
130,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO CHINA: This assessment reflects the Caribbean-to-China route for a dirty Suezmax tanker carrying a cargo of 130,000 mt. The assessment is published on a lump-sum basis and reflects loadings from ports such as Covenas, Puerto La Cruz, Bullen Bay and Jose and discharge at ports such as Ningbo and Dalian.
150,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO CHINA: This assessment reflects the Caribbean-to-China route for a dirty Suezmax tanker carrying a cargo of 150,000 mt. The assessment is published on a lump-sum basis and reflects loadings from ports such as Covenas, Puerto La Cruz, Bullen Bay and Jose and discharge at ports such as Ningbo and Dalian.
130,000 MT US GULF COAST TO SINGAPORE: This assessment reflects the US Gulf Coast-to-Singapore route for a dirty Suezmax tanker carrying a cargo of 130,000 mt. The assessment is published on a lump-sum basis and reflects loadings from ports such as Corpus Christi, Houston and Texas City and discharge at Singapore.
150,000 MT US GULF COAST TO SINGAPORE: This assessment reflects the US Gulf Coast-to-Singapore route for a dirty Suezmax tanker carrying a cargo of 150,000 mt. The assessment is published on a lump-sum basis and reflects loadings from ports such as Corpus Christi, Houston and Texas City and discharge at Singapore.
140,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO CARIBBEAN: This assessment reflects the cross-Caribbean route for a dirty Suezmax tanker carrying a cargo of 140,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Covenas, Jose and Bullen Bay and discharge at Chiriqui Grande.
70,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO UK CONTINENT: This assessment reflects the Caribbean-to-UK Continent route for a dirty Aframax tanker carrying a cargo of 70,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Covenas, Puerto La Cruz and Bullen Bay and discharge at Bilbao, Le Havre and Rotterdam.
70,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO MEDITERRANEAN: This assessment reflects the Caribbean-to-Mediterranean route for a dirty Aframax tanker carrying a cargo of 70,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Covenas, Puerto La Cruz and Bullen Bay and discharge at Cartagena, Fos and Trieste.
90,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO UK CONTINENT: This assessment reflects the Caribbean-to-UK Continent route for a dirty Aframax tanker carrying a cargo of 90,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Covenas, Puerto La Cruz and Bullen Bay and discharge at Bilbao, Le Havre and Rotterdam.
90,000 MT CARIBBEAN TO MEDITERRANEAN: This assessment reflects the Caribbean-to-Mediterranean route for a dirty Aframax tanker carrying a cargo of 90,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Covenas, Puerto La Cruz and Bullen Bay and discharge at Cartagena, Fos and Trieste.
70,000 MT EAST COAST MEXICO TO UK CONTINENT: This assessment reflects the East Coast Mexico-to-UK Continent route for a dirty Aframax tanker carrying a cargo of 70,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Cayo Arcas, Dos Bocas and Pajaritos and discharge at Bilbao, Le Havre and Rotterdam.

50,000 MT EAST COAST MEXICO TO US GULF COAST: This assessment reflects the East Coast Mexico-to-US Gulf Coast route for a dirty Panamax tanker carrying a cargo of 50,000 mt. The assessment is published on a Worldscale basis and reflects loadings from Cayo Arcas, Dos Bocas and Pajaritos and discharge at Corpus Christi, Houston and Beaumont.
