Change to NWE ethanol MOC date range, effective January 2012

Following an internal review and consultations with participants in the European ethanol market, Platts plans to only reflect in its ethanol barge assessments process bids, offers and trades for delivery 3-15 days forward (Monday-Tuesday) and 5-15 days forward (Wednesday-Friday) from the date of publication.

The change will take effect on January 3, 2012. Platts currently reflects bids, offers and trades for ethanol loading in the balance of the current month and the full next month as well as the Platts Market on Close specific window dates.

Within the defined MOC date ranges reflected in the Platts ethanol assessments, participants can also submit bids and offers for the five-day front-end, mid-window and back-end laycans. For comments, please contact petchems@platts.com, with copy to pricegroup@platts.com
