LNG, Refined Products, Crude Oil, Gasoline, Naphtha, Jet Fuel, Diesel-Gasoil, LPG
November 01, 2023
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has discontinued its monthly publication of Japan Customs Cleared data for LPG import prices from the Petroleum Association of Japan, with effect from Oct. 27, 2023.
At the end of each month, Platts publishes preliminary Japan Customs Cleared data from the PAJ for the previous month and final data for the month before that.
Platts understands the PAJ decided to stop the publication of this data for LPG and LNG, which the PAJ obtains from the country's Ministry of Finance, since late September.
After the review of PAJ's latest publication policy, Platts halted the publication of the LPG data from October 2023 onwards. This decision impacts the following data symbols:
Description $/mt Yen/mt
LPG import price (preliminary) AAKPQ00 AAKPR00
LPG import price (final) AAKPS00 AAKPT00
The LPG data published on Sept. 29, 2023, reflected values that were calculated by Platts using a similar methodology and data from Japan's Ministry of Finance and PAJ.
These changes do not impact Platts monthly publication of Japan Customs Cleared import price data for Crude Oil, Gasoline, Naphtha, Kerosene, Gasoil, A-Fuel, and LSFO.
