SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to launch additional Americas Marine Fuel 0.5% bunker assessments

S&P Global Platts will publish new daily price assessments for IMO-compliant Marine Fuel 0.5% bunkers on delivered and ex-wharf basis at an expanded list of ports in the Americas from December 2, 2019.

Platts will publish Marine Fuel 0.5% bunker fuel price assessments on both an ex-wharf and delivered basis in New Orleans, Philadelphia, Seattle and Vancouver, and on a delivered basis in Buenos Aires, Cartagena and Santos.

The assessments will reflect the following timing and deliveries:

The new assessments will be added to the existing suite of Marine Fuel 0.5% bunkers assessments. Platts will continue to review the publication of high sulfur bunker fuel assessments at locations where they currently exist.

In line with Platts' existing Marine Fuel 0.5% bunker and cargo assessments, the new IMO-compliant bunker fuel assessments will reflect specifications for RMG fuels as defined by the International Organization for Standardization in document ISO 8217:2010 Petroleum products -- Fuels (class F) -- Specifications of marine fuels, but with a maximum sulfur limit of 0.5%.
