SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts switches container bunker cost assessments to 0.5% S

S&P Global Platts has changed eight daily container bunker charge assessments to reflect 0.5% sulfur marine fuel bunker prices in place of the IFO380 fuels, from November 1, 2019.

The changes to the bunker charge assessments cover the following container routes:

The bunker charge assessments reflect bunker costs for transporting a forty-foot container on the above routes and are expressed in $/FEU.

These assessments are calculated using $/mt bunker prices in representative ports, published by Platts.

VLSFO PBC5 and PBC6 -- Los Angeles, New York, Zhoushan, Shanghai, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan

VLSFO PBC9 and PBC10 -- Rotterdam, New York, Gibraltar

VLSFO PBC13 and PBC14 -- Los Angeles, Zhoushan, Shanghai, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan

LSMGO PBC15 and PBC16 -- Singapore, Gibraltar, Rotterdam, Malta

LSMGO PBC5 and PBC6 -- Los Angeles, New York, Zhoushan, Shanghai, Busan, Hong Kong, Charleston
