SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to move data to new categories on March 1, 2019

S&P Global Platts has deferred a previously announced move of a variety of oil, agriculture and petrochemical price symbols to new market data categories to March 1, 2019, following customer and partner feedback.

These changes were originally planned to come into effect on December 1, 2018. The original announcement can be found here:

Now effective March 1, 2019, Platts plans to move naphtha, MTBE, crude derivatives, nonfuel ethanol, dried distiller grains, renewable volume obligation, renewable identification number, LPG, vacuum gasoil and straight run assessments from their current market data categories to new categories.

New categories will be added to data subscription services for customers that currently access this data, to ensure continuity of service. Data symbols themselves will not change.

Through this update, Platts is creating 26 new market data categories, as listed below:
