SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches new Panamax dry bulk freight assessments

Platts has launched two new Panamax dry bulk assessments from Kamsar, Guinea, and Trombetas, Brazil, to North China, effective November 1, 2016. The launch of assessments for these routes follows a proposal published on August 24, 2016. The new assessments reflect the growing spot fixture activity on these routes basis 60,000 mt (plus/minus 10%) for meeting the bauxite requirements of Chinese aluminum producers. These assessments are published on the fixed page PMA - MW3916 and in the Dry Freight Wire, on a dollar per metric ton basis.
