SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts launches 500 CST New York bunker assessments

S&P Global Platts has launched new assessments for 500 CST, 3.5% sulfur bunker fuel on ex-wharf and delivered bases in New York with effect from November 1, 2016. These assessments are published alongside all existing New York bunker fuel assessments. The decision follows an August 26 proposal note and period of time for feedback and a decision note published October 14.

The specifications reflected in the new assessments conform to ISO 8217: 2010 specifications, category ISO-F, RMK 500.

The new assessments sit within Platts' existing assessment parameters for bunker fuel across the Americas. The assessments reflect the value of oil at 2:30 pm ET, for loading or delivery three to seven days forward and stem sizes of 1,000-4,000 mt.
