S&P Global Platts will change eight daily container bunker charge assessments to reflect 0.5% marine fuel bunker prices in place of the IFO 380 fuels, from Friday, November 1, 2019.
The changes to the bunker charge assessments will cover the following container routes:
Head-Haul
Route From To Symbol PBC1 North Asia - North Continent PBC0100 PBC5 North Asia - East Coast North America PBC0500 PBC9 North Continent - East Coast North America PBC0900 PBC13 North Asia - East Coast North America PBC1300
Back-Haul
Route From To Symbol PBC2 North Continent - North Asia PBC0100 PBC6 East Coast North America - North Asia PBC0500 PBC10 East Coast North America - North Continent PBC0900 PBC14 East Coast North America - North Asia PBC1300
The bunker charge assessments reflect the bunker costs for transporting a forty-foot container on the above routes and are expressed in $/FEU.
These assessments are calculated using $/mt bunker prices in representative ports, published by Platts.

These prices are published in Platts Dry Freight Wire and Platts Global Alert service on the fixed page PGA 3950 and in the Platts database.
