Platts changes Asia ammonia assessments timestamp

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has changed the timestamp of its weekly Asia ammonia assessments and its daily low-carbon Japan Korea Ammonia Price (JKAP).

The assessments moved from a 4:30 pm London timestamp to a 4:30 pm Penang timestamp on Nov. 1 and now follow the Penang publishing calendar.

The change aligns Platts weekly ammonia assessments and JKAP more closely with local trading hours in Asia, and with Platts daily Asia grey ammonia assessments already on a 4:30 pm Penang timestamp.

Platts proposed this change on Sept. 16 ( here ) and published a subscriber note detailing its timestamp and publishing calendar decision on Oct. 9 ( here ).

The timestamp and publishing calendar change does not affect daily and weekly FOB Middle East ammonia assessments or the weekly CFR India ammonia assessment, which will continue to be assessed on the 4:30 pm London timestamp and publishing calendar.

The affected assessments are as follows:

CFR Far East $/mt (FAFAA04)

CFR Far East $/mt MAvg (FAFAM03)

FOB Southeast Asia $/mt (FAAAB04)

FOB Southeast Asia $/mt MAvg (FAAAB03)

Japan Korea Ammonia Price (JKAP) $/mt (AJKCA00)

Japan Korea Ammonia Price (JKAP) $/MMBtu (AJKCB00)

The above assessments appear in the Ammonia Market Report, Platts Fertecon Daily and on Platts Connect.
