SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue some minor metals' assessments

Following an extended period of industry feedback, Platts has decided to proceed with plans to discontinue several weekly assessments for minor metals, but will continue a number of other price assessments previously considered for discontinuation, based on industry feedback indicating their usage and relevance.

Platts will discontinue publishing the US weekly NY Dealer price assessments for Arsenic (AALXR00); Cadmium (MMADC00) and Mercury (MMAKK00 and MMADJ00). Platts will also discontinue publishing the US Producer Indium Corporation price (AALXS00), which has not been updated by the company in over two years. The last date of publication for these assessments will be Thursday, December 31, 2015.

Platts has decided to retain the weekly New York Dealer assessments for Antimony (MMACY00); Bismuth (MMADA00); Indium (MMAKI00); Selenium (MMADL00) and Rhenium (AAGTD00). Platts plans to move the assessment day for these from Thursdays to Tuesdays, or nearest working day in the event of a public holiday. The effective date for these assessments switching to Tuesdays will be Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Platts welcomes further feedback on the methodology and specifications for these assessments.
