S&P Global Platts has started to reflect loadings and trades from the Beaumont/Port Arthur hub in its MTBE FOB USG assessment, effective Oct. 28, 2020.
This hub has been added to the list of currently acceptable terminal hubs for FOB USG loadings in the US MTBE Market on Close assessment process.
This change was first proposed in a subscriber note first published Sept. 16, 2020.
The Platts US MTBE assessment currently reflects a loading basis of FOB US Gulf Coast from hubs in Houston and Texas City.
Bids, offers and trades published for the Beaumont/Port Arthur hub may be normalized for inclusion in the US MTBE FOB USG assessment.
