iFTP security upgrade required by Dec. 31

As part of S&P Global Platts continued commitment to delivering the markets of the future, on June 6, we upgraded the security standards for the Platts SFTP delivery. It will ensure your content is delivered with the highest security protocols.

To follow up on our previous communication from Oct. 3, we urge you to change your existing SFTP password now to avoid disruption to your Platts service. To change the password, please access our new web portal https://sftp.platts.com.To login, you will need to use the registered email and existing password.

After accessing the site, kindly change the current password to follow industry-standard password policy rules shown below. The password change will be effective immediately. The final step will be to update the email address as the username, and the password in your existing systems (script,Filezilla etc.).

New password change rules:

At least nine characters in length

Utilize at least one of each of the following three password characteristics:

• Alphabetic characters, upper case letters

• Alphabetic characters, lower case letters

• Numeric character

• Special character (if supported by the system.)

• No more than two of the same consecutive characters in a row.

Note: This password change needs to be completed by Dec. 31 to avoid losing access to the Platts SFTP site.
