Platts seeks feedback on US natural gas December bidweek trading days

S&P Global Platts seeks feedback on the three trading days for monthly natural gas indices during December bidweek. The current bidweek calendar shows the three trading days as Nov. 22, 23, and 24.

Market participants have raised concerns that these three days are prior to the expiration of the CME December Henry Hub futures contract on Friday, Nov. 26. Historically the day after Thanksgiving has not been a bidweek trading day.

Platts seeks feedback on the December bidweek trading days and invites market participants to choose one of these two options:

Option 1: Nov. 22, 23, and 24

Option 2: Nov. 23, 24, and 26

Price submitters are still expected to submit their trade data to Platts on Monday, Nov. 29.

Regardless of which option Platts decides, Friday, Nov. 26, will be a daily gas holiday.
