SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts clarifies NoCal/SoCal ethanol premium labeling in Biofuelscan

Please note that, effective October 22, 2018, S&P Global Platts updated the labeling of the Northern California and Southern California differential to the front-month Chicago ethanol swap in Biofuelscan.

Per Platts methodology, the Northern California and Southern California ethanol assessments are published as a differential to the Platts Ethanol Chicago front-month swap.

The values published in Biofuelscan have been correct, but labeled incorrectly, listed as the current month instead of the next month, corresponding to the month of the front-month Chicago ethanol swap published under code ESCM001.

The labeling has been correct on Platts Biofuels Alert pages PB0010, PB0210 and PB0212 and in the database under codes AAVYD00 and AAVXD00.
