Platts will change specifications for Methane Performance Certificates assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will remove the requirement for continuous monitoring in the specifications for its Methane Performance Certificates (MPCs) assessment, effective Nov. 15, 2023.

This change was first proposed in a subscriber note available here.

It is intended that this change will better align with evolving market sentiment surrounding measurement, monitoring, reporting and verification. All other specifications for the assessment will remain unchanged.
