SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to publish third-party US rail price assessments

S&P Global Platts will begin publishing domestic US rail rates for select thermal coal export routes from a third-party provider, Escalation Consultants, from October 18.

The rail rates are provided on a quarterly basis by Escalation Consultants, Inc., and reflect proprietary analysis of publicly available economic data, including the most recent Public Use Waybill Sample, published by the US Surface Transportation Board.

The rail rate will be published on a daily basis in Coal Trader, and on Global Coal Alert page 360.
