Following the launch of five medium grade iron ore fines brand assessments on September 3, S&P Global Platts wishes to inform market participants that bids, offers and expressions of interest to trade for Jimblebar fines (JMBF) will be considered for publication during the iron ore Market on Close assessment process, effective immediately. Platts has observed the increase in activity of JMBF in the seaborne market, prompting the launch of brand assessments on a fixed and floating price basis for JMBF along with other brands on September 3. Just as for other price assessments, Platts employs an MOC assessment methodology for its brand assessments, and therefore considers for publication bids, offers and expressions of interest to trade for JMBF cargoes on a fixed and floating price basis, subject to Platts editorial guidelines. Platts will publish the fixed price and floating price notional value on JMBF at 3:45 pm Singapore time (0745 GMT) based on transactional information collected up to that point from active market participants across the supply chain. Please send any comments, questions or feedback to IODEX@spglobal.com, copying in pricegroup@spglobal.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
