SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes new regions for gas price surveys

Platts is proposing a reorganization of its North American Natural Gas price survey regions in an effort to better match daily and monthly classifications and offer more specific categories for certain pricing locations.

In daily and monthly natural gas tables, the eight regions would be Northeast, Appalachia, Midcontinent, Upper Midwest, East Texas, Louisiana/Southeast, Rockies/Northwest and Southwest.

Platts is proposing a December 1 start for the new regional breakdown and is encouraging comments be sent to gas_survey_comments@platts.com regarding the timing of the implementation and opinions on the proposed new regions. Please submit comments by Friday, October 30, 2015.

Platts would send out a listing of new Natural Gas Alert page numbers in early November.
