Platts clarifies the methodology wording of its orthoxylene USG CP assessment to reflect that prices published are for the most recent contract settlement. Contract prices are monthly posted agreements. These agreements are typically settled retroactively. In the absence of a settlement, Platts will publish the most recent settlement. The weekly contract assessment appears in the Platts price assessment database under code PHABF00, while the monthly average appears under the code PHAXV03. The orthoxylene USG CP assessment also appears in Platts Petrochemical Alert pages 033, 448 and 434. In addition, these assessments appear in the Europe and Americas Petrochemicalscan. Platts welcomes all feedback and questions to petchems@platts.com, with a cc to pricegroup@platts.com. For written comments, please provide a clear indication if comments are not intended for publication by Platts for public viewing. Platts will consider all comments received and will make comments not marked as confidential available upon request.
